FAQs

The stick vac may need recharging.

The motor thermostat may have tripped. Empty the dirt container and check for blockages. Clean the filters and allow the stick vac to cool for approximately 1 hour. If you have washed the filters, wait 24 hours to fully dry before placing back on the stick vac.

Open both ends of the dirt container, remove the separator and clean all seals.

Replace the separator, filter and lid.

To improve the air flow through the stick vac, clean the filters and check for any blockages.

Check the powered head - Switch the machine on and visually inspect the powered head.

Is there a light illuminated?

No - Switch the machine on and press the brushbar on/off button on the machine.

Red light - Something has obstructed the brushbar. Switch the machine off, remove the powered head and clear any blockage from the brushbar.

White light - Now you are up and running.

Remove the dirt container from the handheld unit

Switch the machine on.

Place your hand over the hole located on the side of the handheld unit, this is where the lid of the dirt container is normally attached to.

If the suction is strong, remove the dirt container from the handheld and empty. Push the button to lift the dirt container lid. Remove the filter from the separator. Tap off any dirt/debris and rinse the filter under the tap (max 40 degrees, no detergent) allow at least 24 hours for it to fully air dry before placing back in the machine.

Check for a blockage - Remove the floorhead and then remove the reach wand from the machine

Drop a small ball of paper down the top of the reach wand. This should drop straight through. If not, you have a blockage that will need to be removed. Check the handheld unit for a blockage where the reach wand normally attaches. Check the neck of the floorhead for any blockages.

If your vacuum is experiencing a loss of suction, please try the following:

  • Check for any debris or blockages in the tubing and main body.
  • Ensure the filter has been cleaned and left to dry as per the maintenance and care instructions.
  • Check to see if the issue is happening on all attachments. If it is happening with a particular attachment then check there is no damage to this attachment and it is fitted correctly.

If you are still experiencing issues, please get in touch with the support team using the contact details on this page.

If the vacuum isn’t charging, please try the following:

  • Try an alternative plug socket.
  • Ensure there is no debris stuck in the charging port or at the end of the charging cable.
  • Gently wipe the end of the charging cable with a clean, dry cloth.

Check that the dust container is fully clipped into place. Follow any symbols on the dust container and twist/clip on securely.

It is normal for the vacuum to make noise during operation. If the vacuum is making unusual or excessive noises, check the following:

  • Check the filter is secure in the dust container as it may be rattling.
  • Clean the filter thoroughly to remove any dirt and debris.
  • Securely fasten the dust container to prevent parts from moving.
  • Check the floor head for any dirt or damage which may be causing the sound.

If the brush roll isn't spinning, check the following:

  1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum.
  2. Remove any hair or debris that is tangled around the brush roll.
  3. Check that the belt on the brush roll is securely attached.

Please note, this only applies to models that have a spinning brush roll.
