FAQs

If your coffee machine will not operate, check the following:

  • Ensure the coffee machine is plugged into the mains.
  • Check that the power button is switched on.
  • Try the coffee machine in a different mains socket.
  • Replace the fuse in the plug. Ensure the replacement fuse is the same rating.

If the Coffee tastes weak or watery, check the following:

  • Check the grind size. If the coffee has been ground too course, it will have a watery taste (Check the instruction manual for recommended grind settings).
  • Ensure that the coffee which is being used is fresh and that the packet hasn’t been opened for too long.
  • The quality of the water in your coffee machine can affect the taste of the coffee, especially if you have hard water in your area. Try using filtered or bottled water.

If there is water leaking from your coffee machine, check the following:

  • Check the drip tray. If it’s overfilled or not installed correctly water can spill onto the worktop.
  • Turn off the coffee machine, unplug it from the mains.
  • Allow the coffee machine to fully cool down.
  • Inspect all the machines connections, look for any cracks or damage in the hoses.
  • Check the seals and gaskets for any cracks or perishing.

If the brewing unit keeps clogging on your coffee machine, this could indicate that the brewing unit requires descaling.

This involves running the descaling solution through the coffee machine, then rinsing it through thoroughly with water. Use a descaler that has been recommended by the coffee machines manufacturer. Follow the descaling instructions in the instruction manual.

If the grinder keeps clogging on your coffee machine, this can be caused by a build-up of coffee bean debris.

Turn of the coffee machine and unplug it from the mains.

If your coffee machine has a self-cleaning, activate this function, otherwise, using a small brush or clean cloth remove any visible debris.

If the issue persists refer to the coffee machines instruction manual for the disassembling and cleaning guide.
