- Check that you have added enough dry, natural firewood or woody biomass fuel (up to the maximum fill level).
- Ensure the fuel is lit using approved firelighters (EN 1860‑3). Do not use liquid fuels.
- Allow 15–25 minutes for proper preheating.
- Make sure the oven is positioned in a wind‑protected area, as wind can reduce heat build‑up.
- Confirm that the fuel is completely dry; damp wood will not burn consistently.
- Use sufficient ignition aids placed evenly on the fuel.
- Light the fire in a sheltered location, protected from strong wind.
- Do not overfill or underfill the firebox. Fill just below the edge as instructed.
- This is normal due to the rear heat concentration.

- Confirm the legs are fully unfolded and correctly positioned.
- Some smoke is normal during lighting and preheating.
- Excessive smoke may indicate incorrect fuel. Use only dry wood or pellets.
- Ensure fuel is placed only in the firebox, not directly in the oven housing.
- Check that ashes are regularly removed once completely cooled, as buildup can restrict airflow.
