- Remove both batteries from the remote.
- While checking the LED on the remote, reinsert the batteries. If the LED doesn't flash twice, continue to the next step.
- Note: The LED is unmarked, on the front of the remote below the power and input buttons. It's only visible when it's showing a status light.
- Complete within two seconds: While checking the LED, remove the battery that's closer to the volume button

- While checking for the LED to flash twice, replace both batteries with the original batteries that came with the remote. If those batteries aren't available, use two fresh 1.5 volt AAA batteries.

If the remote still doesn't work, continue to the next steps.
Note: A factory reset will reset your device to its default factory settings. This action will clear your data and can't be undone.
- If your Chromecast Voice Remote is paired with your Chromecast with Google TV, unpair it:
- To navigate the TV screen, set up your phone as a virtual remote.
- On the TV screen, go to your account profile

- Factory reset your Chromecast Voice Remote:
- Remove the batteries
wait five minutes.
- Reinsert the batteries while pressing and holding the Home button.
- Continue to hold the Home button while the LED light turns on and stays solid.
- When the light starts to pulse, release the button.
- Remove the batteries
- If the remote didn't pair automatically, press and hold the back and Home buttons for three seconds.
- If the remote still didn't pair, use your phone to select Pair remote or accessory on the TV screen

tap the select button on your phone.
- If the remote still doesn't work, factory reset your Chromecast with Google TV:
- Check that the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and turned on.
- Press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast.
- Continue to hold the button while the LED light turns on and blinks yellow.
- When the light turns solid white, release the button

- Factory reset the remote again.
- Set up Chromecast with Google TV and Voice Remote.
- Using your Chromecast Voice Remote, in the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile

- Leave it unplugged for one minute.
- Insert the cable back into Chromecast with Google TV.
Note: When you unplug Chromecast with Google TV from the TV’s HDMI port, it does not reboot the device. It must be disconnected from the power source in order to reboot.

From the Chromecast device
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered on, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.
The warning 'low power' or the link 'g.co/cast/power'; appears on your TV screen when your Chromecast with Google TV doesn’t have enough power to function properly. To troubleshoot, follow the steps below:
- Check that your Chromecast with Google TV is plugged into the power adaptor that came with it. If it’s plugged into your TV’s USB port or a different adaptor, it might not be getting enough power.
- Check that the power adaptor is plugged into a reliable power socket.
- Check that the cable also came with Chromecast. If you use a different cable, it might not be supported.
- Check that the cable is completely plugged into both the adaptor and the Chromecast.
- Reconnect the cable into both the adaptor and the Chromecast:
- Unplug the cable from the Chromecast and the adaptor
wait 5 seconds.
- Plug the cable into the adaptor first
plug it into the Chromecast.
- Unplug the cable from the Chromecast and the adaptor
- Check that no USB Type-C hubs or switches are between the Chromecast and power adaptor. They can affect the power capability or power delivery compatibility.
