No, the appliance should not be rinsed. We advise you to use the brush supplied to clean the cutting element and to use a not too damp cloth to clean the outside of the appliance and the comb attachment. The attachments of many models can be rinsed under the tap after they have been detached from the appliance. Check your user manual to make sure if your appliance has rinsable attachments.

  • The charging light or battery symbol should light up for 30 minutes before going out again.

If the charging light still does not work, please contact Philips Consumer Support. You can do this by calling 02079 490 240.

The ideal charging time is 1 hour.

The appliance can be used cordless for about 60 minutes and it then has to be charged again.

This appliance can be used to trim beards. Do not use it for any other purpose. This is because the cutting element of a beard trimmer is usually smaller than that of a hair clipper. The comb is smaller, to allow you to easily reach under the nose. Beard hairs are usually stiffer than scalp hairs. They therefore don't need to be lifted in the same way as scalp hairs. This is reflected in the comb design. If you use a beard trimmer to trim hair on other body parts, you may experience reduced performance or even skin damage.

It is normal to receive a two-pin plug for a bathroom product (shavers, trimmers and toothbrushes), as this is the standard plug used for charging from your bathroom shaver electrical socket. If you do not have this electrical socket in your bathroom, you can buy a simple two-pin to three-pin adapter separately.

Make sure you place the comb correctly on the device. Adjust the length you want by pressing the setting selector on the comb and sliding it to the desired setting. The figure on the comb and represents the remaining hair length after grooming.

To get an optimal result, we advise you to use the appliance on dry hair. The performance decreases when used of wet hair.
