The machine has a float in the dirty water tank that is designed to rise with the level of the water. However, if the machine is jolted, or there is a large amount of foam in the tank, the float may rise to the top. The rising float will block the suction and the machine will make a high pitched noise. To return the float to its original position, simply switch the machine off, allow it to drop down and then try again.
- The plug may not be fully pushed into the electrical socket.
- Check the fuse in the plug if this needs replacing, always replace with a British 13amp fuse.
Make sure the clean water tank is fitted securely. Go to using your machine in the user manual. Wash/Rinse dial has been set to Rinse, set dial to wash to dispense solution. The clean water tank valve may be stuck, hold the clean water tank over the sink and press the valve underneath to release.
- The float in the dirty water tank may have been activated. Empty the dirty water tank wait for the float to settle before re-starting your carpet washer.
- The accessory hose connector cover has not been correctly closed. Correctly close cover.
- Check the SpinScrub brushes and brushbar for blockages and clear.
- The dirty water tank may not be fitted correctly.
- Re-fit making sure the lid is pushed down securely.
- Check the nozzle for blockages and clear.
- Check the nozzle is correctly fitted.
- The brushes will only spin when the carpet washer is reclined.
- Check the SpinScrub brushes and brushbar for blockages and clear.
- Check for damage to the brushbar and the spindle on the back of the SpinScrub brush cover.
- The float in the dirty water tank may have been activated. Empty the dirty water tank wait for the float to settle before re-starting your carpet washer
- Check the dual spin power brushes for blockages and clear
- The dirty water tank may not be fitted correctly, also make sure the lid is pushed down securely
- Check the nozzle for blockages and clear
If your vacuum is experiencing a loss of suction, please try the following:
- Check for any debris or blockages in the tubing and main body.
- Ensure the filter has been cleaned and left to dry as per the maintenance and care instructions.
- Check to see if the issue is happening on all attachments. If it is happening with a particular attachment then check there is no damage to this attachment and it is fitted correctly.

If the vacuum is not turning on, please try the following:
- Try an alternative plug socket.
- Change the fuse in the plug.
If there is light and sound but the unit isn’t turning on fully, please ensure the vacuum has been cleaned correctly; check for blockages and clean the filter.

If the vacuum is hard to push, please check try the following:
- Check for any blockages or debris in the floorhead.
- Change the pile adjustment setting for the floorhead if available on the model (please refer to the user manual for the location).
- Check if the issue occurs on different floor types, as thick carpets will be harder to push on.

Check that the dust container is fully clipped into place. Follow any symbols on the dust container and twist/clip on securely.
It is normal for the vacuum to make noise during operation. If the vacuum is making unusual or excessive noises, check the following:
- Check the filter is secure in the dust container as it may be rattling.
- Clean the filter thoroughly to remove any dirt and debris.
- Securely fasten the dust container to prevent parts from moving.
- Check the floor head for any dirt or damage which may be causing the sound.
If the brush roll isn't spinning, check the following:
- Turn off and unplug the vacuum.
- Remove any hair or debris that is tangled around the brush roll.
- Check that the belt on the brush roll is securely attached.
Please note, this only applies to models that have a spinning brush roll.
