Your Beats Fit Pro sense when they're in your ear and receive the audio from your device. Beats Fit Pro also pause and resume playback when you remove one of your earbuds, or stop playback—and won't resume—when you remove both. When you have Automatic Ear Detection on and you're not wearing your earbuds, audio plays through your device's speakers.
When you turn off Automatic Ear Detection, all audio plays to your Beats Fit Pro whether or not you're wearing them.
Here's how to turn Automatic Ear Detection on or off:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- In the list of devices, tap the More Info button next to your Beats Fit Pro.
- Tap the slider next to Automatic Ear Detection.
To change the volume, say "Hey Siri," then say something like "Turn down the volume." Or drag the volume slider in the app that you're listening to, on the Lock Screen, or in Control Center. You can also open Now Playing on your Apple Watch and turn the Digital Crown to adjust the volume.
To control phone calls, use the Beats logo button on either earbud:
- Press once to answer a call.
- Press once or twice to end a call, depending on your settings.
- Press once or twice to mute or unmute the microphone, depending on your settings.
- Press once to answer a second incoming call and put the first call on hold. When two calls are active, this switches between calls.
- Press and hold to reject an incoming call.
- Press twice to stop listening through your earphones and send the call to your phone.
To change your settings on iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap your earphones.
