  • Ensure the unit is plugged into the mains and the wall socket switch is turned on. Some clock radio models appear off because they are in Standby mode, so press the Standby button to confirm.
  • If the model supports battery backup, check the batteries are inserted correctly and not exhausted.
  • Check if the issue occurs on all stations; sometimes only one station has weak signal.
  • Perform a power reset: unplug the radio, wait 30 seconds, reconnect, and turn it back on.
  • Ensure the volume is not muted.
  • Fully extend the aerial/antenna and place the radio near a window if possible.
  • Move the clock radio away from interference sources such as TVs, fluorescent lights or large metal objects. 
  • First, confirm the radio is properly powered, because unresponsive buttons often indicate low or no mains power.
  • Try a power cycle: disconnect from mains, wait, reconnect, and restart.
