Please ensure you regulalry clean and defrost your freezer, this in most cases will prevent the build up of ice. Should you have left the door open for a prolonged amount of time, this will also cause a build up of ice. Ice build-up can be normal in your appliance and is a sign that your appliance needs defrosting. If it has been defrosted but there is still an excessive ice build-up, try the following:

  • Ensure there is the correct clearance around the appliance. This will be stated in your user manual.
  • Ensure it is located in an area of a similar temperature between 10-32 degrees.
  • Check that the door is closing properly and there is no debris in the seals.
  • Avoid over-filling the appliance and ensure nothing is touching the back.
  • Keep the appliance away from any heat sources.
