FAQs

Please ensure you have removed the 'transit bolts', refer to your instruction manual on how to do this.

Please check your drainage pipe and ensure there are no 'kinks' or that the pipe has been squashed in any way as this will reduce or stop the water from draining properly.

Ensure that the appliance is level and on a solid floor. If the issue persists, please contact the product helpline on the right hand side of this page.

Undertake a high temperature service wash using a washing machine cleaner. Please refer to your instruction manual on how to do this.

Most washer dryers allow you to run each programmes separately, as well as an automatic transition between both.

Please check your instruction manual for compatibility.

In most washer dryers, the lint doesn’t go into a lint filter like a stand-alone tumble dryer. Instead, most of the lint is removed through the drain hose.

Regularly check around the rubber door seal as lint can sometimes collect there.

Please check your user manual in the maintenance section to check if there is a hidden condenser filter.

A Washer dryer has two separate weight limits because washing and drying are two separate processes with different requirements. Here’s why:

The washing capacity limit (higher weight) - This is the maximum amount of laundry the washer dryer can handle using just a wash cycle.

The drying capacity limit (lower weight) - This is the maximum amount of laundry the washer dryer can handle using a wash and dry or just dry cycle, because more space is needed for airflow and space to tumble dry the laundry effectively.

Overloading the washer dryer when using the drying cycle can lead to poor drying performance.

Certain washer dryer models have an anti-crease feature. This feature is activated when the cycle is finished. The clothes are tumbled in cool air which prevents them from creasing and happens intermittently until the programme dial is turned to the OFF position.

The washer dryer is an all-in-one appliance for washing, then drying your clothing.

Washing clothing is the same as a regular washing machine. The clothes are cleaned using your chosen water temperature, water temperature, and spin speed. Once the wash cycle has finished, the water drains via the waste pipe.

After the wash cycle, the drying cycle starts using hot air to remove moisture from clothing. On most washer dryers, the condensation is drawn out via the waste pipe.

On certain models of washer dryer, you can use the wash cycle and drying cycle separately.

Below are a few reasons why your clothing is still damp or wet after using the drying cycle in your washer dryer:

The washer dryer is overloaded: If the washer dryer is overloaded, the clothing will not release as much moisture as it should in the spin cycle, resulting in the clothing still being too wet for the drying cycle to fully dry. Please check your instruction manual for suggested wash/dry load weights.

Blocked/kinked drain hose: If the drain hose is blocked or kinked, not all of the water will drain and could leave some in the drum. Please check your instruction manual for checking the drain hose.

Blocked pump filter: If the drain hose is clear, check the pump filter for debris or blockage. Please check your instruction manual for checking/cleaning the pump filter.

If your clothes do not smell nice after a wash, check the following:

  • Ensure the drum isn’t being overfilled. If clothes are too crammed then they will not be cleaned correctly.
  • Do not over fill the conditioner. The conditioner is released into the drum near the end of the cycle. If there is too much in the drawer it will be released earlier and be washed away.
  • Ensure cleaning and maintenance is carried out regularly to remove any grime deposit.
  • Ensure the inlet pipe is clean. You can remove this and run some hot water through to check.

If the appliance is noisy, try the following:

  • Drain the filter out slowly and check for any blockages. Then clean the filter and refit.
  • Check that the paddles inside the drum are not loose.
  • Ensure there is a 2cm clearance around the whole appliance.
  • Ensure the appliance is on a level surface.
  • Check the seal and pockets after the wash in case anything has gotten stuck.
  • Ensure the loads are no bigger than ¾ full as the clothes may become bunched up and could cause the noise when trying to complete a spin. Different clothing, such as hoodies, weight more than other items so therefore you may be required to put less in.

If your appliance is not taking softener or conditioner, try the following:

  • Check water is going into the drum. If there isn’t this may be a water issue and we would recommend checking the inlet pipe and ensuring the door is locking.
  • Clean the softener drawer by removing it and soaking in warm water.
  • Clean the jets above where the drawer sits.
  • Ensure too much powder isn’t being used as this can become thick once wet.
  • Check for any error codes on-screen and refer to your user manual.

If the appliance isn’t draining, try the following steps:

  • Drain the filter out slowly and check for any blockages. Then clean the filter and refit.
  • Check that the outlet pipe does not have any kinks or bends that could be restricting the water flow.
  • Check for any blockages in the outlet pipe that could be preventing the water from draining.
  • Try a hot wash to give the internal pipes a good clean.
  • Check for any error codes on-screen and refer to your user manual.

If the door isn’t opening, try the following steps:

  • Turn the dial on and off.
  • Check if there is still water in the appliance. If so, turn the dial to spin to drain out any water.
  • If it isn’t completing the spin cycle then check the filter and outlet pipe for any blockages. They may need draining out if there is a blockage.
  • Try a power cycle. This is performed by disconnecting the unit from the mains socket and holding down the power button for 10 seconds.
  • Leave the appliance a few moments after a cycle has finished to try opening the door. This is because child lock may be on.

If the drum isn’t spinning, check the following:

  • Is water entering the drum? If there isn’t any water entering the drum then ensure the door is locked correctly and the water tap is open.
  • Check that the correct load size has been used for the selected programme to prevent unbalancing the load.
  • Drain the filter out slowly and check for any blockages. Then clean the filter and refit.
  • Check that the outlet pipe does not have any kinks or bends that could be restricting the water flow.
  • Check for any blockages in the outlet pipe that could be preventing the water from draining.

If a programme isn’t starting, try the following steps:

  • Check the load. The load should be between ½ to ¾ full. Any less and the weight will not be recognised. Over ¾ full and the drum may not move. Different clothing, such as hoodies, weigh more than other items so therefore you may be required to put less in.
  • Check that the door has been locked correctly and the programme has been selected.
  • Ensure water is entering the appliance. If not, check the inlet pipe and check that the tap underneath the sink is fully open.
  • Check to see if a delay timer has been set.
  • Check for any error codes on-screen and refer to your user manual.
  • Drain the filter out slowly and check for any blockages. Then clean the filter and refit.
  • Check that the outlet pipe does not have any kinks or bends that could be restricting the water flow.
  • Check for any blockages in the outlet pipe that could be preventing the water from draining.

If there is no power going to the appliance, try the following steps:

  • Check that the socket is by working by trying another device in this socket, or trying this appliance in another plug socket.
  • Ensure the socket is turned on.
  • Change the fuse in the plug.
