FAQs
If the machine isn’t starting, try the following:
- Plug in the machine.
- Try another socket.
- Replace the fuse in the plug.
- Ensure it is not plugged into an extension cable, and try a mains plug socket.
If the pressure is fluctuating, check the following:
- Check the hoses and connections are airtight.
- Clean and replace the valve or pump seals if necessary or refer to your local Nilfisk distributor/contact the support team using the details on this page.
If the machine is stopping or has stopped, try the following:
- Clean the nozzle.
- Leave the washer for 5 minutes to cool down.
- Replace the fuse.
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the specification on the unit.
If the fuse blows, try the following:
- Change to an installation higher than the amp consumption of the machine.
- Ensure the machine is not in an extension lead.
If the machine is pulsating, try the following:
- Allow the machine to run with open trigger until regular working pressure resumes.
- Check that the water supply corresponds to the specifications required.
- Avoid using long, thin hoses.
- Clean the nozzle.
- Clean the filter.
- Straighten out hose.
If the machine often starts and stops by itself, contact your nearest Nilfisk service centre or contact using the support details on this page.
If the machine starts but no water comes out, try the following:
- Connect inlet water.
- Clean the filter.
- Clean the nozzle.
If you find the hose is leaking, firstly ensure the connection is secure by tightly fastening the hose to the unit.
If it is still leaking, ensure that the tap is turned off between uses. If the tap stays on when the unit is not in use, then the hose will fill with water and the pressure can cause it to leak from the connection.
If you find the high pressure hose is leaking or is not secure to the unit, ensure the connection is tightly fastened to the unit by matching the connection pieces and turning clockwise. Ensure to push the connection on fully, so the rubber ‘O’ ring is pushed inside the connection. The threading of the hose to the connection should secure together tightly.
