Before using for the first time, we recommend that you charge the unit for 5 hours via a USB cable or the car charger supplied; until the charge light turns blue.
Plug the USB cable/car charger into the USB socket.
Note: The charging indicator on the unit will light up red. When fully charged the red light will turn blue.
When using the GPS device in the car, we recommend that you always use the car charger in order to maintain the battery level.
Note: The unit is not designed to be run on battery power alone, the battery is there for back up purposes only.
- Switch the unit off before installing or removing the MicroSD card.
- When installing it can only be fitted one way: the contacts should be facing away from you and the cut-off corner at the bottom.
- Slide the card in and push it in so that it clicks into place.
- Once the card is installed it does not need to be removed.
- If you need to remove the card, push the card in and it will eject from the slot.
To turn on, press and hold the On/Off button on the top of the unit for around 3 seconds, the unit will power up and display the menu screen.
To turn off, press and hold the On/Off button for around 3 seconds during operation, the unit will display the option to sleep or power off. Select power off to turn off completely.
The reset button can be found on the rear of the unit. Insert the tip of the stylus pen or small blunt implement like a paper clip into the reset hole in order to press the button. The system will be immediately reset.
The battery in your unit may be too low. Connect the device to a power source with the car charger, then turn the unit on after waiting a few minutes. Charge the battery till it shows full.
When using the GPS device in the car, we recommend that you always use the car charger in order to maintain the battery level.
Note: The unit is not designed to be run on battery power alone, the battery is there for back up purposes only.
Make sure that the device is connected via the car charger or has sufficient battery. If the problem persists reset the unit with the reset switch found on the rear of the unit.
