It is normal for your tablet to heat up while charging, especially if it supports fast charging or super fast charging, as the current and voltage are higher when compared with normal charging.
If you are charging your tablet wirelessly, your phone/tablet may generate heat due to energy loss during wireless data transmission. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your tablet.
To prevent your tablet from overheating, perform the following:
Use the charger that came with your tablet
- It is recommended that you use the standard charger to charge your tablet. Using a third-party charger may result in your tablet heating up due to incompatible charging specifications.
Charge your tablet in a place with good heat dissipation
- Place the tablet in a well-ventilated environment, such as indoors or on a desk. If the heat dissipation is poor, such as under direct sunlight, in a car, or on a bed or sofa, the tablet temperature will increase.
Avoid using your tablet while charging it
- Do not use your tablet while charging it, as this may make the overheating worse.
Clear background apps that are not in use
- If there are too many apps running in the background, it is recommended that you promptly clear apps that are not in use.
- If your tablet heats up significantly with light use or when not in use and restarting it and leaving it for a period of time cannot resolve the problem; we suggest you backup your tablet data and bring your proof of purchase to HONOR Authorized Service Centre for assistance.
It is normal that your tablet heats up. The faster your tablet consumes power, the more heat it generates. It is recommended that you reduce your tablet's power consumption to prevent it from overheating.
- Go to Settings > Battery, and enable Power saving mode.
Your tablet will then consume less power and generate less heat. However, this operation may affect user experience. Perform this operation based on the actual usage situation.
Suggestions for daily use:
- Avoid placing your tablet in a hot environment or in direct sunlight.
- Avoid placing your tablet in a poorly ventilated place, such as on a bed or blanket.
- Avoid using your phone/tablet while charging it.
- Close background apps that are not in use.
- It is recommended that you do not play music, videos, or games at a high volume for a long time.

- Close other apps or devices to reduce bandwidth usage.
- Use a wired ethernet connection.
- Move close to your router if you are using a Wi-Fi connection.

Below is a general guide:
- Standard Definition: 3-4 Mbps.
- High Definition: 5-8 Mbps.
