If your sandwich toaster isn’t heating up, check the following: 

• Ensure the sandwich toaster is plugged into the mains and turned on.
• Try another electrical product in the same socket and see if it works. If it does not, then it may be the electrical socket is at fault.
• Change the fuse in the plug, using a fuse with the same rating 13A.

If your sandwich is burning even on a low setting, check the following: 

• Check that there is not a build-up of food on the plates which can cause hotspots.
• Do not use butter or oil on the plates, instead butter the bread.

If your sandwich toaster is leaking melted cheese or ingredients, check the following: 

• Ensure the sandwiches are not overfilled.
• Check that the bread is aligned with the shape of the plate.
• Ensure the hinges are fully locked.

If your sandwich toaster’s latch not close properly, check the following: 

• Ensure the sandwiches are not too thick with not too much filling.
• Check that the latch and hinges are clean from food build-up.
