The Apple Pencil (2nd generation) is compatible with the following models:
- iPad mini (6th generation)
- iPad Air (4th and 5th generations)
- iPad Pro 11-inch (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations)
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th generations)
- Locate the magnetic strip on the side of your iPad and attach your Apple Pencil to it.
- Wait for the notification that confirms the Apple Pencil is paired.
- You’re now ready to start using your Apple Pencil. Open an app that supports pencil input and start drawing or writing.
- Make sure that Bluetooth® is turned on in Settings
> Bluetooth. - Attach Apple Pencil to the magnetic connector on the right side of your iPad.
- Go to Settings
> Apple Pencil.
