If the drill will not start, check the following: 

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged.
  • Check that the battery is fully inserted until it clicks into place.
  • Ensure the selector switch is not set to neutral.

If the drill bit slips during drilling, check the following: 

  • Check that the drill bit has been inserted correctly.
  • Remove the drill bit and check for any debris on the jaws.
  • Ensure the chuck has been sufficiently tightened.

  • Check that the battery has been properly fitted (check the instruction manual for this procedure). 
  • If your drill has overheated, it will stop. Ensure you use the correct drill bit for the material you are drilling to prevent overheating (check the instruction manual for guidance on what drill bit to use). 
  • Allow the drill to fully cool before using it again. 
  • Regularly switch off the drill, then clear any obstructions from the drill bit and chuck.
