Squeaking may occur if nuts and bolts are insecure or over tightened. To stop squeaking, check all nuts and bolts are correctly assembled and secure, but not over tight. Also check that the pedal straps are not touching the cross trainer body when pedalling as this may cause squeaking.

If a manual cross trainer, the console runs on batteries. Ensure batteries are inserted into the back of the console. If a powered model, check all connections and ensure the power adaptor is securely inserted. Failing this, please ring our customer support team who can talk you through some diagnostics.

If your cross trainer feels unstable, check the following:

• Ensure the cross trainer is positioned on a stable, level surface.
• Check all the bolts and stabilisers, ensure they are securely tightened.

If your cross trainer makes a noise when I'm pedalling, ensure it has been correctly assembled and that all the bolts are evenly tightened. (Check the instruction manual for this procedure).

If the pedal movement is not smooth on your cross trainer, check the following:

• Check that the pedal arms have not worked loose.
• Ensure the cross trainer is placed on a stable, even surface.
• On cross trainers that have rear or centre tracks, debris, dust or a lack of grease will cause the rollers to stutter. Clean the guide rails and wheel rollers with a non abrasive damp cloth, then apply some lubricant (check the instruction manual for which lubricant is suitable for your cross trainer).
