If the display will not turn on, check the following:
- The thermometer must be gently tapped on a hard surface to activate the display.
- If the display is dim or not showing, the battery may need replacement. Replace with a new CR2032 battery following the manual instructions.
If the temperature readings are inaccurate or fluctuating, try the following:
Bath temperature
- Stir the bath water to remove hot spots before placing the thermometer.
- Make sure it is floating freely in the bath.
Room temperature
- Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or chemicals near the device.
The LED light comes on when bath temperature exceeds 39°C. Add cold water to reduce the temperature.
