FAQs

Auto power off is in effect. If you do not want auto power off to take effect, set [Auto power off] to [Disable]. Even if [Auto power off] is set to [Disable], the LCD monitor will still turn off after the camera is left idle for 30 min. (The camera’s power does not turn off.) Press the button to turn on the LCD monitor.

Do not recharge any battery pack other than a genuine Canon Battery Pack LP-E12.
If the battery charger has a problem, the protection circuit will stop the charging and the charge lamp will blink in orange. If this happens, unplug the charger’s power plug from the power outlet and detach the battery pack. Attach the battery pack to the charger again and wait a while before connecting the charger to a power outlet again.
Set the AF operation to One-Shot AF. Focus lock is not possible in the AI Servo AF mode, or when servo takes effect in AI Focus AF mode.
If you shoot continuously with the built-in flash at short intervals, the flash may stop operating to protect the flash unit.
Check if your finger is blocking the speaker.
The shooting date and time does not appear in the picture. The date and time is instead recorded in the image data as shooting information. When printing, you can imprint the date and time in the picture by using the date and time recorded in the shooting information.
