The mixture ratio is 40:1, 40 parts fuel, to 1 part Two-stroke oil.

The oil required is a chainsaw lubrication oil, this helps to maintain the chain, keeps the chain and bar lubricated and helps to prevent overheating. It also ensures a clean cut.
We suggest that when the chainsaw is not being handled, even for short periods of time, it should be switched off, this is for safety reasons and to stop the machine overheating.
