Please ensure you regulalry clean and defrost your freezer, this in most cases will prevent the build up of ice. Should you have left the door open for a prolonged amount of time, this will also cause a build up of ice. In this case, please follow the defrosting instructions from within your instruction manual.
If the appliance isn't cooling of freezing, try the following:
- Ensure there is the correct clearance around the appliance. This will be stated in your user manual.
- Ensure it is located in an area of a similar temperature between 10-32 degrees.
- Check that the door is closing properly and there is no debris in the seals.
- Avoid over-filling the appliance.
- Keep the appliance away from any heat sources.
- Check the power is coming on correctly and, if necessary, try an alternative mains socket and fuse.
If there is a smell coming from the appliance, try the following:
- Check the door seals and ensure they are clean.
- Turn the appliance off, clean the inside with warm water and white vinegar. If necessary, leave a lemon inside the appliance for a few hours to help remove any smells.
- Check food has not leaked anywhere and keep on top of food maintenance.
Ice build-up can be normal in your appliance and is a sign that your appliance needs defrosting. If it has been defrosted but there is still an excessive ice build-up, try the following:
- Ensure there is the correct clearance around the appliance. This will be stated in your user manual.
- Ensure it is located in an area of a similar temperature between 10-32 degrees.
- Check that the door is closing properly and there is no debris in the seals.
- Avoid over-filling the appliance.
- Keep the appliance away from any heat sources.
If the appliance isn’t level, try the following:
- Ensure the adjustable feet are set and tight. They can be screwed and unscrewed. You can find more instructions on this in the user manual.
- Ensure the flooring is level.
If water is pooling underneath your appliance, check the following:
- Check that the defrost drain is not cracked and is clean and not clogged. You can find more instructions on this in the user manual.
- Check the door seals are not damaged and free from debris.
