- The assistance button on your Doro mobile phone is a dedicated feature designed to provide quick access to help in emergency situations.
- Once set up, when the Assistance Button is pressed and held, the first contact from the emergency contact list (Helpers) will be called.
- If there is no answer from the first contact the next number will be tried.
- The phone will enter hands-free mode for the calls.
- Press Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Assistance.
- Select Activation.
- Select the desired option:
On normal - press and hold the Assistance Button for approximately 3 seconds or press it twice within 1 second.
On (3) - Press the Assistance Button 3 times within 1 second.
Off - Disables the Assistance Button.
- Press OK.
- Press Back.
- Press Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Assistance.
- Select Number list.
- Select Add.
- Select the desired option (E.g., Phonebook).
- Select the desired contact.
- Press OK.
- Press Save.
- Press Menu to add more contacts, otherwise press Back.
- Press Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Assistance.
- Select SMS.
- Select Activation.
- Select On, then press OK.
- Press Back.
- Select Message.
- Select Edit.
- Press Down.
- Enter the desired SMS message, then Press OK.
- Press Back.
The Position SMS contains the date, time and positioning of the Doro phone user. If no position can be found, the last known position will be sent.
- Press Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Assistance.
- Select Position SMS.
- Select On, then press OK.
- Press Back.
This is recommended if there is a risk that the assistance call is answered by a voice mail or answering service. If the recipient doesn’t press 0 within 60 seconds, the call will be disconnected and the next number in the sequence will be called. If the recipient presses 0 within 60 seconds, the call is confirmed, and no further call attempts will be made (assistance sequence interrupted).
- Press Menu.
- Select Settings.

- Select Confirm with 0.
- Select On, then press OK.
- Press Back.
- Press Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Assistance.
- Select Signal type.
- Select the desired notification volume (E.g., High), then press OK.
- Press Back.
- ICE stands for In Case of Emergency.
- You can add important information to the phone like for name, address, mobile number and medical conditions which would help a first responder if there was an event of trauma or emergency.
- To access ICE on the Doro mobile phone, press Menu.
- Select Phonebook.
- Select ICE.
- This is where you can add your details, up to 2 ICE contacts, which are contacts which can be reached in an emergency and any health conditions and details of your doctor.
