FAQs

  1. The steam control may have been set to the no steam position. Set the steam control to a steam position.
  2. There is no water in the tank and/or the settings are not set correctly. Solution:
    • Ensure there is water in the tank.
    • Set to the appropriate steam and temperature setting - When steam ironing, you must set the steam control to steam and the temperature control to a temperature equal to or higher than the steam symbol on the dial.
  1. The (vertical) steam boost function has been used too often within a very short period - Put the iron in a horizontal position and wait for a while before using the (vertical) steam boost function again.
  2. The iron is not hot enough - Set the temperature dial to a temperature suitable for steam ironing.

Make sure there is enough water in the tank and check that the spray button is able to spring back on its own after pressing. If the spray nozzle hole is blocked, you can clean it carefully with a sharp needle or pin.

Some parts of the appliance have been slightly greased and as a result, the appliance may produce some smoke when it is switched on for the first time. Also, if there is remaining water in the soleplate from the last usage, the smoke observed may actually be water evaporating. However, these will stop after a short while.

Fabrics can acquire shiny patches if they are ironed at too high temperatures. Try a lower temperature setting. Also, to prevent shiny patches, you can put a cloth (e.g. a tea towel) between the iron and the fabric.

  • The water droplets may appear on the garments when you have steam ironed for a while.
  • This happens because steam has condensed on the ironing board.
  • Dry the wet spots on the garment and the ironing board cover by passing the iron over them without pressing the steam button.
  • If the underside of the ironing board is wet, wipe it dry.
  • Make sure you use a mesh-top ironing board with a thick felt material as this minimises steam condensation on the ironing board.
  1. Check that the connection to the plug is secure and not loose and also check how many appliances are using the same output. Failure could be caused by over current in your mains.
  2. Check the iron's power cord for visible signs of damage (e.g. kinks, flaring of the braiding). Remove the rest of the appliances and switch it on again.

If the appliance has no power, try the following:

  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.
  • Try an alternative fuse in the plug.

Allow the appliance to reach temperature and stabilise for 1-2 minutes if it has just been plugged in or has just been woken up from auto shut off. Also check you have set the correct heat setting for the garment.

If the appliance has no steam or poor steam, check the following:

  • Check that there is enough water in the tank.
  • If your appliance has an auto-shut off, check to see if this has activated, wake up the appliance and allow it to reach temperature before using steam.

This is normal and is caused by water being pumped through the steam pump. The pump is controlled by the unit automatically to keep the boiler up to pressure.

If the appliance is tripping the electrics, try the following:

  • Try an alternative fuse in the plug.
  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.

Check the laundry care label of your garments to find the correct temperature to correspond with your appliance.

Some laundry starches and synthetic fibres may stick to the surface of the iron. To solve this, clean the soleplate of the appliance.

Yes. It is advised to remove the remaining water in the water tank after each use. This will help ensure no build-up of minerals at the bottom of water tank during stagnation of water during storage.

Please check the following:

1. Is the water tank lid closed properly? Press the lid until you hear a click.

2. Did you put a chemical into the water tank?  If yes, please rinse the water tank and do not put any perfume or chemical into the water tank again.

3. Did you use the steam boost function often within a very short period? In this case, wait for a few seconds before you use the steam boost function again.

4. Maybe you used the steam boost function at a too low temperature. In this case, set an ironing temperature at which the steam boost function can be used (??? to MAX).

Designed to be used with tap water. In case you live in an area with hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to use distilled or de-mineralized water to prolong the lifetime of your appliance.

Do not add perfume, water from tumble dryer, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled water or other chemicals as they may cause water spitting, brown staining, or damage to your appliance.

1. You may have set a temperature that is too low. Set the temperature according to the fabric that you are ironing.

2. Are you ironing without steam? Fill the water tank and set the steam slider to steaming mode.

3. For stubborn creases, press and release the steam boost trigger for a powerful boost of steam to remove stubborn creases. Repeat if necessary.

4. For stubborn creases, use the spray function to moisten the particular spot and iron over it. Repeat if necessary.
