If your cool bag/box isn’t keeping items cold long enough, try the following:
- Pre-chill the cool bag/box by putting ice packs in for 30-60 minutes before use.
- Add more ice packs.
- Ensure the cool bag/box is full as empty areas in the cool bag will warm things up.
- Keep the cool bag/box closed as much as possible and store in the shade or a cool area.
If there is water inside your cool bag/box, check the following:
- Ice packs can cause condensation, but check the ice packs aren’t leaking.
- Ensure that food items are placed in waterproof containers or sealed bags.
- Clean the cool bag/box with warm soapy water and baking soda.
- Leave the lid open to fully air dry.
- For strong smells: wipe with diluted white vinegar.
