FAQs

You probably live in an area with hard water. Hard water causes scale build-up inside the appliance.

Use the Calc-Clean function a few times to remove scale from the iron before you start using the appliance again (see chapter 'Cleaning and maintenance' in the directions for use within your manual).

Possible cause: The water tank is filled beyond its capacity.

Solution: Do not fill the water tank beyond the ‘MAX’ symbol.

Possible cause: You have used the steam boost function too often with not enough intervals.

Solution: Temporarily keep the iron horizontal before you use the steam boost function again

Possible root cause: You have not performed Calc-Clean function for some time. The iron need to be cleaned.

Solution: Use the Calc-Clean function.

Descale every two weeks. Fill the water tank and heat the iron to ‘MAX’ temperature. Then, unplug and hold the iron over your sink.

Push and hold the slide button to calc-clean while you shake the iron to flush out the water.

  • Your appliance has been designed to be used with tap water. In case you live in an area with hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to use distilled or de-mineralized water to prolong the lifetime of your appliance.
  • Do not add perfume, water from tumble dryer, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled water or other chemicals as they may cause water spitting, brown staining, or damage to your appliance.

If the appliance has no power, try the following:

  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.
  • Try an alternative fuse in the plug.

Allow the iron to reach temperature and stabilise for 1-2 minutes if it has just been plugged in or has just been woken up from auto shut off. Also check you have set the correct heat setting for the garment.

If the iron has no steam or poor steam, check the following:

  • Check that there is enough water in the tank.
  • If your iron has an auto-shut off, check to see if this has activated, wake up the iron and allow it to reach temperature before using steam.

This is normal and is caused by water being pumped through the steam pump. The pump is controlled by the unit automatically to keep the boiler up to pressure.

If the appliance is tripping the electrics, try the following:

  • Try an alternative fuse in the plug.
  • Try an alternative mains plug socket.

Check the laundry care label of your garments to find the correct temperature to correspond with your appliance.
