FAQs

  • Make sure all parts that need to be sterilized are clean and disassembled completely.
  • Do not stack the items too closely together.
  • The steam has to be able to circulate around the items to ensure effective sterilization.

Note: Larger screw rings only fit if placed in slanted position over the teats. Place the dome caps in the dome cap holders.

Do not sterilize: Items that are filled with liquid e.g. a teether with cooling fluid Parts with electronic components e.g. Motor parts of the electrical breast pump or toys Metal items, e.g. bottle brush Plastic parts which are not suitable for the use in microwave (check the item or its packaging label) Only place items in the sterilizer which are suitable for sterilizing.

Fully disassemble the breast pumps. Make sure steam can circulate around the parts.

If you have an older version of the microwave steriliser the new range of Natural bottles do not fit in the steriliser basket. You can purchase a new inner tray which will fit your Natural bottles via Philips Consumer Support. You can do this by calling 02079 490 240.

The sterilizing time depends on your microwave. Select the appropriate microwave wattage and time according following table: Wattage: 1200W-1850W Sterilising time: 2 min. Cool-down time: 2 min. Wattage: 850W -1100W Sterilising time: 4 min. Cool-down time: 2 min. Wattage: 500W Sterilising time: 6 min. Cool-down time: 2 min.

Measure and pour exactly 200ml tap water into the base. Note: When the base contains too much water, the items will not be sterilized properly. When the base does not contain enough water, this can cause damage to the sterilizer or microwave.

  1. Make sure all items to be sterilized are completely disassembled.
  2. Place items in the basket with their openings pointing downwards, to prevent them from filling with water.
  3. Do not stack the items too closely together. The steam has to be able to circulate around the items to ensure effective sterilization.
No, sterilization cannot start without the lid on the device. To ensure proper sterilization, always put the lid on the base.

Provided the parts are in good condition, discolouring is harmless and will not affect the use of the parts.

The bottle may leak for more than one reason. Following the guidelines below will help to avoid a leak:

  • Check if the parts are correctly assembled and combined.
    • Note: use always adapter ring with classic bottle.
  • Check the dormal has not been too lose screwed on the bottle.
  • Check if you are using the teat with the correct flow for your baby.
  • Use the cap and check if it is placed correctly when shaking the bottle to prepare food.

Check the product or parts of it before each use. If any damage or crack is detected, replace it the product or damaged part. For hygiene reasons and safety, we advise to replace the teat/spout after 3 months.

Yes, this product is BPA free.
We recommend that you continue to sterilize bottles, toddler plates etc. until your child is one year old.
  • The bottles and teats are dishwasher safe. Please place the small parts on the top rack of the dishwasher.
  • When washing teats with your hands, use only your fingers and warm soapy water. Avoid washcloths, sponges and bottle/teats brushes with bristles that may tear the silicone.
  • The bottles and teats can be sterilised using a Philips AVENT electric or microwave steam steriliser or boil for 5 minutes. The bottles should be fully disassembled when put in the steriliser.

Note: There is no need to turn the teat inside out during washing and sterilising.
